The Honorary Consulate was established on 23 December 1999. Since 2009, Anton Siekel has been serving as the Honorary Consul. The Honorary Consulate closely cooperates with the Embassy of the Republic of Colombia in Vienna, which is an accredited diplomatic mission of the Republic of Colombia to the Slovak Republic.
The main task of the consulate is to contribute to deepen the Slovak – Colombian relations in the economic, cultural and scientific field, as well as in education and sport. Apart from the above mentioned, the Honorary Consulate focuses on providing assistance and help to Colombian citizens residing or visiting Slovakia.
